How-To Style your Face Mask With Your Outfit

Well Hello Loves!

In case your living under a rock right now and didn't know that practically the whole world is dealing with this health pandemic called COVID 19 well nows chance to do your research. LOL just kidding, I know for most people right now the reality we are living through doesn't seem real, I still find myself daydreaming of how things will be after this is over... Until then our new every day has us legally wearing face masks to fight against getting this wretched Coronavirus.

Allow me to introduce, THE HANDMADE FACE MASK tada!!!!
Paired with an exquisite new spring dress I was so kindly gifted from a fair trade and ethical company called Mata Traders, this outfit had me feeling myself. If you haven't heard of Mata Traders before I'm surprised because I talk about them a lot on my Instagram account @misshoneylavender and I've even written about them before in THIS BLOG POST where last spring I was also sent an adorable dress to test out. Anyway, I wanted to share with you all how I styled this retro-inspired spring look wearing my newest and latest threads.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR FACE MASK WITH YOUR OUTFIT

STEP 1
BUY OR MAKE A CUTE FACE MASK TO NOT ONLY HELP FIGHT THE STUPID COVID 19 VIRUS BUT ALSO LOOK FLY. (I bought mine from a local vintage store here in the Pacific North West called Most Everything Vintage where the talented owner makes her masks from deadstock vintage fabric).

STEP TWO
GRAB A NEUTRAL OR CONTRASTING BASE LAYER LIKE A JUMPSUIT, DRESS, TOP OR BOTTOM. (Mine is from Mata Traders and is called the Karina Dress in Black Daisey )

STEP THREE
BUILD OUTFIT TO COLOR COORDINATE OR JUXTAPOSE FROM THE MASK AND LAYERS OF THE OUTFIT. (For me I added my black Thred Up cardigan which originally is from Old Navy and my thrifted waist belt was from The Goodwill)

STEP FOUR
ACCESSORIZE YOUR OUTFIT WITH YOUR MASK BY ADDING A HAT, CUTE CLOGS AND VINTAGE SCARF (The scarf and red beret I'm wearing here is actually one I picked up from my local vintage emporium called " Hollywood Vintage" and my shoes are also from a vintage shop called "Workshop Vintage" but are from a brand called MIA)

STEP FIVE
FLAUNT YOUR SUFF, BUT CARRY YOUR HAND SANITIZER AND KEEP A DISTANCE OF 6 FEET FROM OTHER PEOPLE. THEY CAN LOOK BUT THEY CAN'T TOUCH!

There ya have it, friends, now I hope this inspires you to style up some looks with your face mask next time you go to the grocery store or talk your afternoon quarantine walk.

Till next time loves!

XOXO
Jordan
