Hello Hello Loves!
Here we are on our way into the holiday season and yet I still feel like I'm falling behind already. This week I'm finally getting my Christma Tree from the Mount Hood National Forrest with my husband and our dog Kiko. A new tradition we started doing where we go and chop down our own Christmas tree, it's a load of fun! I'll definitely be sharing all about that experience this week on Wednesday on my Instagram stories (@misshoneylavender), so be on the lookout for that. Anyhow for today's official blog post, I wanted to actually hop on here and go into detail recapping you guys about my recent weekend getaway to nonother than the Historic Hood River Hotel!
The week of Thanksgiving which yes I know was just about 3 weeks ago now Grant, Kiko and I packed our suitcases and took off to explore the quaint little town of Hood River Oregon out in the Columbia River Gorge for two nights and three days of exploring Hood River. We got to stay in a very cozy corner of the Historic Hood River hotel on the 3rd floor I believe where we had some lovely views of the downtown area and were greeted by so much natural light in the daytime. There was tons of space and our suite was big enough to be lived in as a one-bedroom apartment lol. Equipped with a large Queen size bed, a cozy couch, a TV, a full private vintage remodeled bathroom with a skylight, a full kitchenette, and a dining table we were very pleased with the room, to say the least... To be honest I think staying at the Hood River hotel might've been one of the nicest historic boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. You may have remembered from a few months ago I went to Bend Oregon with my best friend Vanessa for a "GIRLS TRIP" where we stayed at Campfire Hotel. I wrote a whole blog post about it HERE.
Well, long story short this is the same company, what I mean is Campfire Hotel, Hood River Hotel, and even the Juniper Hotel in Portland Or, are all owned by the same company. They're all connected so no wonder I love these places, they offer such fun environments and wonderful hospitality.
During the few days we were in Hood River we got to bar hop, eat yummy ramen and share an afternoon beer at a local brewery Doubble Mountain as well as scout the area taking in the sights over at the Tom McCall Preserve at Rowena. Kiko our dog also had a great time, always sneaking treats from the kind staff at Hood River Hotel. Grant and I also got some rad merch from the hotel's shop so I'll also link those items below:
10 out of 10 I'd definitely stay here again! To see the exact list of places we went to then watch my REEL on Instagram sharing all about the wonderful small business we checked out while in town. Here's the link:
If you are planning on visiting Oregon soon and want to stay at any or all of these fantastic hotels they so generously gave me a discount code for you to use at checkout. Right now for visiting friends and family the discounted rate is active through the holidays simply use the
Code: VFR22
which is active at both properties the Historic Hood River Hotel and Campfire Hotel, you are welcome!
Until next time, I'll talk soon friends!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone!!!
XOXO
Jordan
