How To Make Money From Your Wardrobe

Whether you have a large wardrobe or not, there are plenty of ways that you can make money from your wardrobe.

Whether you wish to make some extra cash on the side of your full-time job or simply want to make more use of your wardrobe, here are some great ways to make money from your wardrobe.

Sell things you no longer wear:

If there are items in your wardrobe that you no longer wear, which there probably are, it makes sense to sell them so that you can earn some extra money instead of filling up your wardrobe with pieces that you no longer wear or need.

Whether you have old shoes, jewelry, accessories, or garments in your wardrobe that you no longer work, you can always make money from them if they are still in good condition.

For instance, by looking into Rolex value websites, you can discover how much your accessories are worth and determine whether or not it is worth selling them. When you have pieces that are in excellent condition, you can guarantee to make some money, even if it is a small amount.

Every small profit you make will add up and equate to a large sum overall. Hence, it is worthwhile decluttering your wardrobe and selling things that you no longer wear or use.

Buy second-hand pieces:

As a part of making money from your wardrobe, there are also great ways to save money from your wardrobe, such as investing in second-hand fashion or stopping buying trending pieces.

The issue with buying new clothes is that as soon as you wear them, they have already become used. Therefore, why not consider buying your clothes from a charity shop or second-hand websites so that you can fill your wardrobe with things that are cheaper and will not hinder your bank account?

Furthermore, if you stop buying trending pieces you are guaranteed to start filling your wardrobe with items that you will only wear once and therefore waste your money on. When you buy timeless pieces, you can guarantee that you will make the most out of what you own and will guarantee to not waste your money on your clothes.

Rent out your clothes and accessories:

Another way to make money from your wardrobe is to rent out your clothing and accessories. This might sound crazy, but wouldn’t you love to rent some high-end pieces yourself to wear for a weekend event instead of investing the entire amount?

Hence, there will be people who would love to rent your pieces. So why not rent out your clothes and accessories and start earning money from your wardrobe when you are not using the pieces?

Use social media to promote your sales:

If you're planning to sell or rent your clothes, it makes sense to use social media to promote this.

Although you might be able to sell your clothes fairly quickly using various selling websites, you can speed up the process and maybe even earn more profit when you promote your page and attract as many people as possible.

You might be able to gain more profit from the sale of your clothes when you use social media to promote your sales, as you might find local buyers which will mean you can save on the delivery costs.

Sell high-end/designer pieces in the right place:

If you have high-end or designer pieces that you wish to sell, then you must sell them in the right place.

There is no point in setting your high-end pieces to someone locally if you and they do not know how much you should sell things for. Asking for expert help in selling high-end pieces will guarantee that you can get the right profit for your designer goods.

Use buy-back schemes:

There are various buyback schemes that you can use so that you can sell your goods back to companies that you bought them from.

For instance, if you buy a pair of jeans from a company that offers a buyback scheme, and then when you no longer wish to wear these jeans, you can sell them back to them and earn a small amount of money back.

Host a boot sale:

If you are not keen on selling your clothes online and then it, you can host a boot sale and sell your clothes that way.

You can host this outside the front of your house or in a professional space so that you can sell your goods quickly.

Some of my personal favorite local places I like to head to in the Portland Oregon area are:

* Artifact Creative Recycle

*Village Merchants

*Rerun

*2nd Street

*Buffalo Exchange

*Crossroads
